• No. of posts :

In the notification released the railway board has given the vacancies for 4 major posts which includes junior engineer, junior engineer for information technology, depot material superintendent and chemical and metallurgical assistant. Each post has its own vacancies and firstly the junior engineer post has 13034 vacancies, junior engineer for information technology has 49 vacancies, depot material superintendent post has 456 vacancies and that the post chemical and metallurgical assistant has 494 vacancies. • Age limit :

Every government employment opportunity has a particular and specific age limit and all those who are willing to apply for the job need to be fulfilled the age criteria specified by the notification. For the present job, as per the released notification the age standards are as following. The minimum age limit is 18 years and that the maximum age limit is 33 years. Make sure that you get qualified with the age criteria before you apply.

• Qualification :

Before you apply you also need to make sure that you are exactly qualified for that post. Here is the list of qualifications for all the posts as per the released notification. For junior engineer the qualification required is degree or diploma in relevant discipline, for depot material superintendent the qualification required is degree or diploma in engineering in any department, for junior engineer- IT  the required qualification is PGDCA/ BSC computer science, BCA IT, b tech computer science and for chemical and metallurgical the required qualification is bachelor in science with physics and chemistry with minimum of 45% .

• How to apply :

You can apply to the required posts as through online by paying the fee through challan or some other online process. The acceptance of online application starts on 2 January 2019 and the closing date of the online application is 31 January 2019.

• Application fee :

The application fees for all those who doesn’t belong to any reservation category need to pay an amount of ₹500 and those who belong to SC, ST and other reservation category need to pay ₹250 and that even that ₹250 will be refunded to the applicants account on the candidate appearing to the 1st stage CBT.

The age limit has been cleared described here. For the general candidates and the OBC candidates the maximum age limit is 45 years and for the SC and ST candidates the maximum age limit is 47 years. For disabilities the age limit is of 10 years and for OBC it is 13 years and for SC and ST candidates.

Pay scale :

Mode of exam :
The mode of examination is a written mode. There will be a single written exam with 100 objective questions and will be provided 90 minutes to complete the answers. There is also negative marking of 1/3 of the allotted marks for each wrong answer. 1/3 of the allotted marks will be deducted. So don’t try to attempt the answers if you don’t know the answers, you will lose the marks if you do so.

RRC SCR GDCE 2018 Applications for Various Posts

Application procedure :

• You need to take a print out of the application that you can get from the application form. Before downloading and printing the application make sure that it is being printed in a A4 size bond paper which is of 80 GSM. You can download the application from the www.scr.indianrailways.gov.in
• After downloading make sure that you yourself fill up the application with your own hand writing. You may fill the application in English or in Hindi and only with blue or black ball pen only.
• You will be needed to stick a recent photograph on the application that will be attested by the controlling supervisor. You will be needed to put their left hand thumb impression on the space provided therein.
• Once you are done then you need to submit your application before 11-01-2019.
