Recently on 5th of September 2020 the government has announced the dates of the exams that will be conducted for the notified vacancies.

- The tests are completely computer based and the announced that the computer based exams for isolated category posts, will be conducted from 15th of December 2020 to 18th Dec 2020. The railway department has released vacancy notification for 3 different posts which includes the NTPC, isolated and ministerial categories and level 1 vacancies. There are 35,208 vacancies for NTPC, 1663 vacancies for isolated and ministerial categories and 1,03,769 vacancies for the level 1 category as per the notification.
The posts that come under NTPC include guards, office clerks, commercial clerks. The posts under the isolated and ministerial categories includes the steno and teaches. The level 1 posts includes the track maintainers, points man and others.
After the announcement of the notification with overall vacancies of about 1.40 lakh vacancies, the government has received application from around 2.40 crore applications all around the country.
The government states that every measure is being taken to make sure that no candidate will get effected to corona during the examination and further process by maintaining social distancing and other measures.
